The author really wanted to focus on the idea of repetition with this cover, and as I was brainstorming I thought that a moon cycle might be a way to show the passage of time. It seems that moon cycles have been used in connection with modern mysticism lately, however, and we didn’t want to encourage any confusion. I was able to pivot the design to a sun rising and setting instead, and I loved how it gave more of a “daily”, “every morning”, pattern.

The suns, title, and subtitle got a gold foil treatment to really make it shine.
