When concepting for this cover, I wanted to play with the “quietness” of the word “silent”, so in my different iterations I played with size and color a lot. The version that ended up being the most compelling was full wall of lines and ample white space around the title and subtitle.

I originally made this design digitally to show proof of concept, but once everyone was on board I went ahead and drew the lines with charcoal pencils. That final analog touch really pushed the concept over the edge and gave it a much more personal touch. I love the final version.
